SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The Walden Chamber Music Society awards a single $1,000 scholarship to Chaffee County Seniors who will be pursuing higher education in the field of music. Please apply if you plan to major in Music Performance, Music Education, or Music Therapy.
Application Criteria:
· Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Chaffee County school program.
· Applicant must be able to demonstrate musical talent and accomplishments.
· Applicant must be pursuing enrollment in an accredited college, university or conservatory of music.
· Applicant must demonstrate high academic achievement.
· Scholarships are awarded on the basis of musical ability and financial need.
Application process:
· You may either download and print the application for completion then e-mail with attachment files to the address below (or mail it via the Post Office). Or you can complete the application using the online version. You will need to upload the following documentation and submit electronically.
· Reference from a music teacher or a private music instructor.
· Reference from another teacher, advisor or administrator.
· Reference from an employer, minister or other adult as a character reference.
· Please provide a copy of the official high school transcript
· If you have an mp4 or video of your music experience, please forward it to the email address below.
